Didn't find what you need?

Reach out! We can help.

I have never done Pilates. Where do I start?

Pilates is great for beginners! We encourage you to sign up for the Reformer: Intro class. You will be introduced to the reformer, the history of Pilates, basic movements, and more. Smaller classes mean more focus on you. If you are feeling especially nervous, arrive early so the trainer can take the time to discuss any injuries, modifications, and guide you through a full session.

What should I wear to a Pilates class?

Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely. Avoid clothing with zippers or buttons that could damage the equipment.

Do I need to bring any equipment?

No, all necessary equipment is provided. You are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer, but we have them available for use. If you are taking a hot mat class, we recomend bringing a mat towel (we have them available for purchase in the lobby).

how do I sign up for a class?

You can sign up for a class using our app or our website. Using Our App: -Download the People's Pilates app from your app store. -Create an account or log in. -Browse and select your desired class. -Tap "Enroll" to reserve your spot. Using Our Website: -Log in or create an account. -View the class schedule and select a class. -Click "Enroll" to secure your spot. You will receive a confirmation once your enrollment is successful. If the class is full, you can join the waitlist and will be notified if a spot becomes available.

whats the parking situation?

Parking is free at both locations. For the Hilltop studio, there is plenty of parking available in front of the studio on S 11th and on S Sheridan. At our South Tacoma Way (STW) studio, there is street parking available on South Tacoma Way and nearby side streets. Additionally, there is a parking lot behind our building at 5410 S Puget Sound Ave. After parking in this lot, you'll need to walk around the building to enter, so we recommend arriving a bit early.

What is a Reformer: Standard class?

Reformer: Standard is a full-body Pilates class combining contemporary and classical exercises. Each session features a mix of consistent and new movements designed to challenge your strength, balance, and mobility. Unlike our specialty classes (Power, Strength, Mobility), which focus on specific goals, Reformer: Standard offers a versatile and well-rounded Pilates workout.
