What Makes This Training Different
The People’s Pilates Blocking System
Rather than memorizing choreography, you'll learn a structured system for building classes that are logical, progressive, and adaptable.
Our proprietary Blocking System teaches you how to:
-
Design classes with purpose and flow
-
Understand how exercises connect and progress
-
Modify for different bodies and experience levels
-
Teach confidently without relying on memorized sequences
You'll graduate knowing how to create classes—not simply repeat them.
Inclusive, Client-Centered Teaching
Movement is for every body.
Throughout the program, you'll learn teaching practices that are:
-
Body-neutral and non-judgmental
-
Rooted in function rather than appearance
-
Adaptable for a wide range of bodies and abilities
-
Grounded in respectful, inclusive language
Our goal is to help every future instructor create spaces where clients feel welcomed, supported, and successful.
Anatomy That Actually Applies
We've partnered with Anatomy of Pilates to provide a comprehensive online anatomy curriculum that complements your in-person training.
Instead of memorizing terminology, you'll learn how anatomy directly informs your teaching, including:
-
How muscles and joints work together
-
How anatomy influences cueing and programming
-
How to recognize movement patterns
-
How to make safe, informed teaching decisions
The online modules allow you to learn at your own pace while reinforcing concepts during your weekend intensives.
Training Format
Our blended learning model includes:
-
Online learning modules
-
Three in-person training weekends
-
Guided observation hours
-
Self-practice requirements
-
Practice teaching
-
Individual feedback and assessments
-
Comprehensive training manuals
This combination gives you time to learn, practice, receive feedback, and build confidence before teaching independently.
